Khufu (2609 BC - 2584 BC) was a strong pharaoh in the old kingdom (2700–2200 BC) who was able to immortalize his name across the stars. He ordered the building of the Great Pyramid to be his last resting place after death. The Pyramid was constructed with over 2 Million blocks of limestone weighing 6 million tons which has a height of 38.5 meters (454.4 ft) and was built with 400,000 workers. Later on day two, you will be taken to Cairo airport to fly south to Luxor where you will be transferred to a luxury hotel to check-in for overnight.

Karnak Temple

Built-in the Middle Kingdom during the reign of Pharaoh Senusret I, the Karnak temples complex was made between 1971 and 30 BC that has a number of ancient temples, chapels, and pylons which were all dedicated to the Theban triad of Mut, Khonsu, and Amun plus a number of ancient Egyptian deities. Colossi of Memnon

Towering over Luxor’s West Bank, the Colossi of Memnon stand as silent sentinels of a lost era. These two massive statues, each 18 meters tall and weighing 720 tons, were carved from solid quartzite sandstone to honor Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Once part of a grand mortuary temple, these weathered giants have watched over the Theban necropolis for 3,400 years. Though time has eroded their details, their imposing presence remains, a testament to the power and artistry of ancient Egypt.
